Ms. Guilia's Class (Ages 8-9)

Family is a concept that holds different significance to different people. While some people include only their immediate family, others consider family the people that support and encourage them to become better people. Students in my class explored the different parts that make up family, family pets, traditional family foods, and the concept of a community. At young ages it is important to understand that not everyone has the same traditional family, not everyone has two parents and some people also have support coming from other people around them.
